Young Artist Showcase (previously Playing with the Pros) is an audition-based program that provides an opportunity for advanced music students to perform a solo with the Rochester Symphony. Selected students work with their music teacher and receive coaching from  Rochester Symphony artistic staff to prepare a concerto for performance, culminating in a concert performance showcasing the amazing talent of up and coming musicians!

The Young Artists Showcase audition period is now closed for this program cycle. Please join us for the concert performance!

The Young Artists Showcase 2025/26 concert performance will take place on February 1, 2026, at 2pm, at Dakota Middle School.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONCERTS

In partnership with Rochester Public School's, Rochester Symphony presents a day of concerts for area grade-schoolers. Young People's Concerts (previously Concerts for Fourth Graders), feature music from the classical repertoire, beloved to kids for generations and considered essential listening for students. For a nominal cost per student, Rochester Symphony covers the majority of the cost for this event - including busing - providing this field trip opportunity to many students who have never experienced a live orchestra performance.

In the coming school year, Rochester Symphony's Young People's
concerts will present
Peter and the Wolf on February 24, 2026.
