In addition to performances of great music, Rochester Symphony is committed to providing music education that will bring appreciation and enjoyment of classical music to future generations. With a range of programs available—from family concerts to performances for public school classrooms—we bring great music to life for people of all ages.
New in this season, our kid-friendly concerts are offered on Saturday afternoons! Shortened selections from the world's greatest masterpieces are presented with engaging stories about the music and interactive activities. Both educational and fun, it's a concert experience for the littlest of listeners!

In partnership with Rochester Public School's, Rochester Symphony presents a day of concerts for area grade-schoolers. Young People's Concerts (previously Concerts for Fourth Graders), feature music from the classical repertoire, beloved to kids for generations and considered essential listening for students. For a nominal cost per student, Rochester Symphony covers the majority of the cost for this event - including busing - providing this field trip opportunity to many students who have never experienced a live orchestra performance.
In the coming school year, Rochester Symphony's Young People's
