Erin Haefner, soprano, is a dynamic and versatile musician based in Byron, Minnesota, whose work spans opera, musical theater, and contemporary vocal performance. Known for her precise accuracy and exceptional musical adaptability, Erin brings clarity, nuance, and expression to every role she inhabits. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Arts in Flute Performance from Luther College, where she began shaping a diverse and artistically rich career.
An accomplished opera singer, Erin has portrayed a variety of roles, including Margaret "Meg" March (Little Women), Ada Blake (A Certain Madness), Rachel (If I Were You), and Daughter (Daughter). She will appear as Zita (La Vecchia) in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi with Hometown Opera Company - Rochester, Minnesota’s first ever full-stage opera. In March 2025, she performed in the innovative New Media Opera Scenes in Rochester, MN and in April 2023, she premiered the role of Water in Robert Stanley Peter Gardner's Here in this Garden. Her portrayal of Ramiro in Mozart's La finta giardiniera earned her the Frank and Sally Hansen Singer/Actor Award of Excellence, which was her first ever full-stage opera role, marking a significant early milestone in her operatic journey.
