Come in from the cold and join the Rochester Symphony String Quartet for a casual concert in the warmth of candlelight at the beautiful Historic Chateau Theatre. Musicians will perform some of their favorite chamber music selections along with commentary. To further warm your spirits, Bitter and Pour will provide mulled wine and seasonal cocktails/mocktail for purchase.
Bar opens at 6:30pm with music beginning at 7. Concert ends at approximately 8:15.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Alexandra studied violin in Hamburg, Germany and -as a Fulbright-Scholar- at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Following her tenure with the prestigious Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, she has been a permanent member of the MDR Symphony Orchestra since 2010. In addition to her orchestra career, Alexandra has always been an active chamber music player with various ensembles and international appearances. She is founder of „The Enescu Project“, an NGO that strives to give all people access to chamber music, regardless of their age and socio-economic background. Alexandra is in her first year serving as concertmaster in Rochester Symphony.
A life-long resident of Rochester, Amy has been active in the local classical music scene for more than two decades. She is principal 2nd violin in both the Rochester Symphony and the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony, and frequently performs with both the LaCrosse and Winona Symphonies. She often collaborates with local music organizations and churches and is the manager and first violinist of the Campion String Quartet. By day, Amy is the President/CEO of Rochester Symphony.
John is a native of Pine Island where he was a member of the pioneer string class in the Pine Island schools. He then studied at the University of Southern Mississippi where he majored in Music Education. John maintains an active musical life in the area, serving as assistant principal viola in Rochester Symphony and violist in the LaCrosse Symphony. He has been violist with the Campion String Quartet for 10 years. John also conducts the Zumbrota Community Band and the Mayo Clinic Chamber Symphony.
A cellist in Rochester Symphony for more than 20 years, John is currently serving as assistant principal. He started on the cello in 4th grade studying privately in the studio of Kristi Knect, later joining Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestras as principal cellist. He is a founding member of the Campion String Quartet and enjoys the close collaboration of chamber music. So that he can continue to afford new strings, he works full-time as an administrator at Mayo Clinic.
