Orchestra Auditions
Rochester Symphony is holding auditions for the following positions:
- 2 Section violin
- 1 Section cello
- Substitute list for viola and bass
Auditions will be scheduled for September 28th from 2-5pm.
Important Information:
- A CV/Resume must be submitted with all audition forms.
- Submission Deadline is September 16th
- Not all applicants will be invited to an in-person audition.
- All applicants will be informed of their status by September 23rd.
- Applicants selected to audition will be notified with an assigned time by 5pm on September 23rd.
Applicants not selected for a contracted position will be considered for our substitute list.

Rochester Symphony utilizes a blind audition process to ensure a high level of equity. Candidates will play behind a screen for a panel including the Music Director and several orchestra musicians.
