BRING GREAT MUSIC TO LIFE

Your support brings the inspiration and healing power of music to people’s lives.

Supporting Rochester Symphony

Did you know…

  • Ticket sales cover less than 30% of the cost of producing Rochester Symphony concert series and community engagement programs.
  • Over two thirds of the Rochester Symphony budget comes from donations from individuals like you. Approximately 1/3 of our philanthropic giving comes from corporate sponsorships and grants from foundations and government agencies.

Your gifts enable us to share live musical performances with the people of Southeastern Minnesota and visitors to our community, and allows us to keep concert prices affordable. Each dollar of your donation touches a life with the gift of music.

MATCHING GIFTS

How matching gifts work
Imagine if you could double the impact of your gift. It’s easy! Challenge your employer to match your generosity and watch your investment grow.

Corporate matching gift programs give you the opportunity to help direct your company’s philanthropic dollars toward the organization of your choice. Your company receives a tax deduction for each match but you get the donor credit.

For many companies, the minimum gift matched is $25. Employees are usually entitled to several matches per year, up to several hundred dollars or more.

Obtain a matching gift form from your Human Resources office, or check your company’s website for downloadable forms.

We’ll do the rest! Send the completed form with your gift to:

Rochester Symphony
1530 Greenview Dr SW, Suite 120
Rochester, MN 55902

DONOR RECOGNITION

In our concert program we list all donors who have supported the Symphony in the previous 15 months.  (Those who prefer to remain anonymous can do so by contacting the Symphony office.) We also list our supporters on our website, which is updated regularly during concert season.

LEAVE A LEGACY

Planned giving – A gift with an impact long into the future.

The programs of the Rochester Symphony depend on your goodwill and generosity. By naming us as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan, you will be recognized as a member of the Daisy Plummer Society. Please notify us so we can include you.

The Daisy Plummer Society is named for a woman who worked to create a dynamic environment for the arts and music in Rochester. She was the driving force behind the establishment of the Rochester Symphony. The society honors Daisy and individuals and families who have made provisions in their will or estate plans for the long-term sustainability of the organization.

Gifts can be directed to the area of the donor’s choice including specific programs, operations or the reserve fund.

To learn more about how you can leave your legacy through a planned gift, as well as ways we may recognize your gift, email Amy Lindstrom, President/CEO or call 507-286-8742.

Invest in Symphony

One of the most tax-wise ways to support Rochester Symphony is by making a gift of appreciated stocks or other securities. You will get a charitable deduction for the full market value of the security on the day of the gift without paying tax on the amount that the security has appreciated in value since you purchased it.
