Excellence in Music
A cornerstone of cultural arts in Southeast Minnesota, today Rochester Symphony is comprised of a 70-piece professional per-service orchestra and a 90-voice volunteer, auditioned chorale in a six-concert season with additional chamber ensemble concerts each season. Notably, in 2014 Rochester Symphony was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame.
Within the six-set season between October and April, concerts are Saturday night with Sunday afternoon repeat performances when venue size warrants a second performance. A variety of orchestral works are performed from classical to contemporary to popular repertoire. Two to three concerts per season also include the chorale performing with the orchestra.
